For the fifth
consecutive
year, Metallurg
Vanadium
Corporation
(METVAN) has
contributed to
the enrichment
of local school
districts.
Buckeye Trail,
Cambridge, John
Glenn and
Meadowbrook high
schools each
received a check
for $1,000
designated to
support their
respective math
and science
departments.
METVAN has a
strong history
of support for
education
locally.
"Through
these donations,
we're able to
affirm our
commitment to
those academic
disciplines that
instill
analytical,
critical
thinking and
problem solving
skills in
students. These
are important
skills for our
current and
future employees
to acquire as
local companies
like METVAN
compete in a
global
marketplace,"
said METVAN
President Hoy E.
Frakes Jr.
